Work Injury Compensation
Innovative and cost-effective solutions for your employees.
Work injury compensation insurance is mandatory under Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA). Workers’ compensation is complicated by the fact that it is partly governed by the WICA and also by common law. Under the Act, the injured employee does not need to prove negligence on the part of the employer. The Act provides for indemnity in respect of medical leave wages, medical and hospital fees and compensation for permanent disability.
Employers also face the risk of injured employees bringing claims under the common law which is an entirely different regime.
The Work Injury Compensation Insurance covers your employees against work-related accidental bodily injury, occupational disease or death arising out of and in the course of employment. This policy also covers your legal liability under common law for accidents at the workplace due to negligence as an employer.
